Memories

I remember, before Zayd was born, when Khalid and I would go into his room and stare in disbelief at all the baby stuff. We knew that he was eventually coming, but we really had no clue what to expect. Seeing the crib and all of the other baby items in the nursery was totally surreal.




Now the crib is no longer empty--Zayd is here. He came and brought smiles and laughter, a little bit of chaos, and a lot of excitement. Watching him discover new things is like re-discovering them yourself. He looks at the world in pure amazement. I pray that he always sees things that way.
